Candidate for the 2015-2017 Director vacancy; vote by June 30
Dear DSG member,
We had only one candidate for the vacant Director's position by the close of the nomination period.
Her self-nomination follows:
Hello DSG members,
My name is Sandy Wong, and I am a Geography PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am a health geographer whose interests include utilizing both spatial scientific methods and humanist approaches to understanding the causes, processes, and everyday experiences of disability. I am nominating myself for the DSG Board Member position because I want to contribute to the DSG, especially to the campaign to recruit new members and increase awareness of the DSG through social media channels. Thank you for your consideration!
Please email me your vote by June 30 at email@example.com
I have a vacation response set for my email responses, but I will be checking it several days before and on June 30.
