Visiting Assistant Professor in GIScience
Clark University, Worcester, MA.  Clark University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for academic year 2014-2015, with a guaranteed one year extension subject to good performance. We seek candidates with the ability to teach courses in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science. The candidate will teach five courses per academic year. The ability to teach such courses as Introduction to Remote Sensing, Introduction to GIScience, and advanced versions of these topics, is required, and the ability to teach Web mapping and/or Programming for GIS is a plus. The candidate might also teach a research applications course in GIS/Remote Sensing course in the area of his/her research expertise. Teaching will include both  undergraduate and graduate  courses. The appointment will begin in August 2014. The successful candidate can chose be appointed in either the Graduate School of Geography or the Department for International Development, Community and Environment.  A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Geography or related field is preferred at the time of appointment. Salary is commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
