    Dear colleagues,

The Second International Conference on CyberGIS and Geodesign (CyberGIS'14) will take place during August 19-21, 2014 in Redlands, California, USA, building on the tremendous success of the First International Conference on Space, Time, and CyberGIS (CyberGIS'12,
www.cigi.illinois.edu/cybergis12/). CyberGIS'14 will provide a cross-cutting forum for sharing cutting-edge research, education, and training experiences ranging from new theories, methods, and applications of cyberGIS and geodesign to related industrial relations and partnerships, and international collaborations.

CyberGIS'14 will include an international research symposium that will bring together foremost thinkers, researchers, and educators to discuss leading research and education activities in cyberGIS and geodesign as well as related areas. Specifically, we invite submissions of 2-page position papers addressing new theories, methods, and applications of cyberGIS and geodesign. The first author of each paper should also submit a 2-page resume/biosketch. A position paper should conform to the following formatting requirements: 1) 12-point Times New Roman font type; and 2) page margins must be at least one inch on all sides. The conference chairs will work with the program committee to review submissions. Please note that the submission deadline is May 25, 2014. Submissions are accepted via the online EasyChair system at:
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cybergis14 by the deadline. Notification of acceptance is expected by June 16, 2014. Subject to approval, partial funding for travel and accommodation costs will be available to selected participants.

It is anticipated that CyberGIS'14 will be highly visible and very fruitful in the midst of this exciting time of synergistically advancing cyberGIS, geodesign, geographic information science, and high performance computing. Multiple federal agencies and industrial partners will participate and/or sponsor the conference. Esri has graciously agreed to sponsor and host the conference at its campus in Redlands, California.

Thank you in advance for your interest. We look forward to a very stimulating and productive conference!

    Best regards,

    CyberGIS'14 Organizing Committee
