AutoCarto 2020 Call for Poster Abstracts

In addition to paper sessions, AutoCarto 2020 offers opportunities for poster presentations to allow one-on-one conversations on topics displayed graphically on posters. Posters invite interactive and in-depth discussions on your research with attendees at AutoCarto 2020.

We welcome submissions of poster abstracts (up to 500 words) addressing the conference theme "WhereNext" from all topics of cartography and geographic information science.

Poster abstracts can be submitted until March 30, 2020, at https://easychair.org/cfp/AutoCarto2020. Please assure that you select "Poster" for your submission.

A poster session may be the right fit for you if:

    • Your research is visually interesting and lends itself well to being presented through maps, pictures, and graphics.
    • You need extra time to prepare an abstract, beyond the paper deadline. The poster abstract submission deadline is March 30, 2020.
    • You want to present in a casual, conversational venue with one-on-one interactions.
    • You want to make new connections and network with fellow attendees.
    • You want your presentation to be searchable in the Abstract Gallery after the conference is over.
    • You are a student scholarship winner and are required to present at AutoCarto but you did not submit a paper abstract.

    Guidelines for poster presenters

The poster display boards are 8' high and can be set up in 2', 3', or 4' widths. Since a poster format is best when your material can easily be communicated visually, text should be limited to brief statements.

    • Each presentation should make a unified, coherent statement.
    • Materials, both textual and visual, should be of professional quality and be clearly legible from a distance of four feet (4').
    • The maximum size is 4' in width and 4' in height.
    • Abstracts for each presenter are required and must be submitted on EasyChair at https://easychair.org/cfp/AutoCarto2020.
    • Poster abstract submissions should be indicated as posters on EasyChair.
